The internet is loaded with beats and people are gathering reputations for some of the work they are doing creating beats that are getting used in the music industry. Whether you are looking to make beats for others to use, or if you are just looking for a way to make your own beats for your own entertainment you will still need the computer software necessary to create quality beats. Of course, you could pay for it, but there are various places where you can get free beat maker software.

As you examine the various downloadable beat machines trying to decide which ones offer the best beat maker software, you should definitely make it a careful and well thought out process. If you see beat maker software that is free take into account the old saying if it’s too good to be true it probably is. Supposed free beat maker software can be the costliest in terms of dealing with viruses and adware among other potential problems. More than likely free software isn’t monitored and so you can wind up having the same beats as a million others which totally defeats your purpose. When it comes to quality software you will have to pay out some money but you’ll appreciate it in the long run.

When going about deciding which program to purchase make sure you it’s one that can be used by someone with a new hobby or an experienced musician. A program that is limited to how many platforms it can be used on is definitely one to avoid at all cost. Remember this should be a program that is fun to enjoy either alone or sharing it with others. Reading user comments for each program you read over is always helpful in terms of finding out if it is in line with what you are looking for.

Taking A Look At The Karaoke Player

Posted by admin | guitars for sell | Thursday 2 July 2009 12:37 am

karaoke club

Going to a karaoke club can be a fun way to let off some steam during the week. However, not everyone feels prepared to belt out an epic anthem in front of strangers, without practice. Enter the at-home karaoke player. There are a number of different karaoke systems for all skill levels. For instance, karaoke machines for children feature just a few buttons and fun TV graphics for easy use. Electronic stores carry entry-level machines, which come with built-in speakers, microphones, video monitor cables, CD drives and some pre-loaded songs. Entry-level professional players hold more CDs and have upgraded speakers. Then there are professional grade players that can cost upwards of $1,000.

It seems everyone is claiming to have “the best karaoke player on the market.” With so many contenders, it can be hard to choose. Today, karaoke songs can be played on portable systems, DVD players, CD players, PCs and Playstation consoles. The smart karaoke system consumer should first be honest with him or herself and ask, “What am I going to use this thing for?” If it is for killer karaoke parties, then an all-in-one machine like The Song Station is the ideal choice. This amazing karaoke system has been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, People Magazine and on NBC, and enjoys high Epinions ratings. Ranging between $207 and $259, the system has 53,000 built-in tracks from around the globe, but also accepts DVDs, special karaoke CDGs, CD+Gs, VCDs and MP3s, and plays all in high-quality Dolby Digital.

Consumers receive two free microphones, a pedestal karaoke song search unit, large speakers and additional amplifier connections. Up to ninety-nine songs can be scheduled, just like at a karaoke club, and sixty favorites can be stored for quick retrieval. This product can be purchased at www.thesongstation.com.

Rather than spend hundreds of dollars on a karaoke player, there are also karaoke DVD players that can be purchased for $30 to $100 and will play movies too. However, shoppers will need to make sure the player also accepts CDG format or their music selection will be slim; they may also need to purchase extra microphones. One of the cheapest karaoke DVD players is the Coby DVD-637, which goes for $33 to $64. However, most of the CD+G compatible DVD players run between $100 and $200, like the VocoPro DVG399K ($110) or the Cavs 105G DVD ($119).

For kids, the GPX Karaoke Machine can be purchased from Best Buy for just $30 and will play the music, as well as the video (CD+G) and comes with a microphone. Hello Kitty also has a fun pink-and-white karaoke player for $50 that plays karaoke CDs and Barbie has a “Hits 2 Go”CD boombox for $30 or a better quality Emerson Radio Barbie CD+G system for $75, which can all be purchased at www.amazon.com. For the older kids, The Singing Machine SMG-137 Karaoke System is reasonably priced from $45 to $88 and looks more like the traditional karaoke machine, with built-in speakers, two microphone inputs, a top-load CD/CD+G drive and basic balance/echo/volume/auto voice controls.

Advantages of Having a Guitar Buyers Guide

Posted by admin | guitars for sell | Wednesday 1 July 2009 6:10 pm

{Buying is an important decision for an aspiring musician. There are a number of guitars to choose from, acoustic, electric, acoustic electric, and classical guitars to name a few. Other varieties include entry-level axes, professional level axes, humbucking pickups, and single coil pickups, which makes it more difficult for a neophyte. That is why getting a guitar buyers guide is very important.Buying a guitar is an important and difficult decision for any aspiring musician. There are acoustic guitars, electric guitars, and acoustic electrics as well as classical guitars. There are entry-level axes, professional level axes, humbucking pickups, single coil pickups – the variety of guitars is absolutely overwhelming to the neophyte. That is why picking up a guitar buyers guide can be such a helpful thing to do.}

There are a lot of guitar buyers guide out there, so find one that suits you. Some guitars guides are made by fans who are willing to share their knowledge to the new ones. They offer tips about what guitars to buy and which ones to avoid, as well as what to look for in a guitar.

{Others prefer to get a buyers guide from professional music houses or a major music retailer. It gives you an overview of the different types of guitars and tells you what you can get in return for your money, which is very helpful.Other people prefer to get a guitar buyers guide from one of the professional music houses or a major music retailer. For example, the Guitar Center buyers guide is an excellent source that is frequently consulted by new musicians. It gives the lowdown on the different types of guitars and tells you what you can expect for your money.}

In addition to a guitar buyers guide, you should probably have an experienced guitarist friend with you when you go out to buy a guitar. This is particularly true if you’re looking at used guitars. A used guitar is a great way to get started because you can get more bang for your buck. If you’re willing to put up with a few nicks and scratches, you can get a solidly professional level instruments at entry-level prices. Nonetheless, guitar buyers guides will not really tell you how to evaluate these axes. They will not teach you how to check for neck warp, verify that the action is good, or look for telltale signs of wear and tear. The best person to do that is, of course, and experience guitar player.

The most important thing is to start playing, with or without a guitar buyers guide and take your time in picking out a guitar. Think about it as your starting instrument and once you get better at it you’ll also switch up to better guitar. Play first before worrying about getting the best guitar because you can do later as you go along.

Beat Machine Downloads On The Web

Posted by admin | guitars for sell | Tuesday 30 June 2009 10:15 pm

I don’t know about you but I’m not too crazy about those cheesy free beat machine downloads they have sprinkled all over the internet. They are obviously not free of charge. Yes these are free because they are demo’s. Yes that’s right you can demo them for free but if you want to own them then you have to pay for a license.

They generally call this software freeware or shareware. Software developers use this type of sofware to give their customers a trial period and a limited use of their software or sometimes for a limited time. Which means that the software generally won’t allow you to use all parts of the software. Most of these freeware or shareware downloads do not allow you save your music.

You will see that most of these beat machines even though downloadable are expensive. Upon looking at some of the software online they make it look like you need a college degree to figure them out. I like things that are priced reasonably and are easy enough to use right out of the box so to speak.

I found this great little beat machine that has mp3 export capability and features tutorials that not only teach you how to use the beat machine but also how to use it with different instruments. They have a great site and yes they too have a free trial and their very own beat machine downloads. They can also be used on a Mac, PC or other platforms. Besides having a member’s area they also have an online staff that you can consult with for help. Very cool. So easy to use even a 7 year old can do it. This software has many features and is very inexpensive.

Beat machines are pretty popular right now whether it be for rap or R&B everyone wants one. My advice to you is to do your homework so that you find the right software. If you do your due diligence you will find the one that is right for you. But if you can’t wait and don’t want to go to all the different sites then try this link for a some really good beat machine downloads

How Promoters of Live Performances can Encourage Contact

Posted by admin | guitars for sell | Tuesday 30 June 2009 10:15 pm

The small time promoter has to work hard and on a shoestring to get an audience of a few hundred people to fill a venue. Flyers, word-of-mouth and social networks are just some of the tools promoters use to fill small venues or club nights. It is not easy building up a loyal following from scratch. For an up and coming band a lot of effort can go into attracting enough people to fill even the smallest of venues and those promoting the event need to take every opportunity to establish a relationship with the audience that will continue beyond the end of the performance.

With a minimal outlay and a little thought online surveys will help the promoter gather valuable feedback and the opportunity to establish a long term relationship with their audience. Using online Survey Software a promoter can now quickly and easily create an online survey.

With an online survey a promoter can find out exactly:-

  • who attended;
  • what persuaded them;
  • what they thought of the event;
  • would they expect to attend again;
  • would they recommend future events to their friends.

A good way to ensure a good response is to have a supply of business sized cards that are marked clearly with a slogan like “Feedback”, “Your opinion counts”, “Tell us what you thought”. Each card would display an address that points either directly to the survey or to a website where a link to the survey can be placed. Cards can be issued at the entrance along with the tickets, or handed out among the audience and if they are made the size of business cards they will be small enough to be stick in a pocket, purse or wallet. A small incentive may improve the response rate, perhaps the chance to win a free guest pass for a future event, a signed CD or T shirt.

Using the results from online surveys the promoter is able to:

  • Obtain a profile of the audience
  • Gauge the overall success of the event;
  • Measure the effectiveness of different promotion;
  • Receive feedback on the venue and facilities;
  • Receive feedback on the act;
  • Promote on a one on one basis;
  • Build a targeted database for future events;
  • Build a loyal audience;
  • Link to merchandise and other promotions.

It takes considering effort to promote an event and only a little extra effort to use online surveys to encourage further contact and reap a number of short and long term benefits that contact will bring.

The following example shows the feedback that could be used for a breaking band. Not only does it gather valuable feedback, but continues to promote the band, their recorded music and establishes the opportunity to encourage further contact.
